Aerial picture of Lough Eidin in County Roscommon. The Boyle River flows into Lough
Eidin which is renowned for its brown trout fishing. The lake then drains into the Shannon
River just north of Carrick on Shannon. Lough Eidin forms part of the Shannon
navigation system for boat traffic heading to Lough Key and the Erne River system.
