Aerial photograph of flooding at Mallow. The flood peaked at 4pm this was photographed
at about 2pm. The flood happened so quickly that a bus became stranded in the town
with 50 passengers on board who were then rescued by boat.
Upstream in Newcastlewest, cars were washed away in flash flooding with over 10ft of
water.
