Garranes Ring Fort

Aerial view of Garranes ring fort, dating from about 450. When excavated, items found included an unfinished brooch, crucibles and moulds suggesting this was a centre for metal work.
Top left of centre are faint outline remains of another Lios or Rath called Lisnamanroe - translated; 'fort of the red women'
